Make one vehicle-specific kit

Photograph the installed and removed parts, label every fastener bag, record the vehicle and hitch model, and store the instructions and torque notes together. Keep fragile trim flat and keep keys or locking-pin information with the kit without leaving a security code exposed.

The goal is reversibility. Do not discard a part because the current carrier makes it look unnecessary; a future service, sale, or configuration can need it.

Limits

No bumper or hitch was removed. This guide does not identify the parts for a particular vehicle or approve reinstallation.
