Draw the contact points

Photograph the rails and roof, record the vehicle year and body style, and measure the rail profile and available positions. Use the rack maker’s fit database or kit diagram to identify where the foot contacts and how the clamp or bolt is retained.

Check the bar spread, hatch clearance, roof limit, and torque sequence separately. A correct contact fit can still be the wrong system if the loaded height or capacity fails another boundary.

Limits

No vehicle, foot, fit kit, or load was tested. Exact model-year fit and torque remain manufacturer-specific.
