Trace the outlet through the loaded position
With the vehicle cold and parked, identify exhaust outlets and their direction. Load the carrier as intended and check the platform, bags, straps, covers, and cargo edges. Repeat in any permitted tilt or access position. Do not touch hot parts to test clearance.
The earlier local inventory contains hitch-carrier pages, so this guide owns the narrow exhaust boundary rather than another general “best carrier” list.
Limits
No exhaust temperature, carrier, vehicle, or load was measured. Exact clearance and material limits remain manufacturer-specific.
