Loading four bikes without false confidence

Yakima directs users to load the heaviest bike first, nearest the vehicle. Alternate bike direction only as the manual and actual clearances permit. After each bike, secure all required contact points and look for handlebar-to-saddle, pedal-to-frame, fork-to-wheel, and tire-to-vehicle contact.

Do not use contact between bikes as a support method. If four approved bikes cannot be arranged without damaging contact or interfering with retention, the practical capacity for that combination is lower than four.
